General information about the care box
What products are included in the care box?
The care box contains only the products you select – we don't send anything unsolicited. It includes disposable gloves, disinfectant, bed pads, face masks, and protective aprons – all things needed in everyday caregiving.
Can I choose the products in the care box myself?
Yes, you can put together your own care supplies from a list – exactly as you need them.
Can I change the products in my skincare box monthly?
Yes, you can choose different products each month if your needs change. Change products now
Can I order care supplies worth over €42 and then order correspondingly less next month?
No, unfortunately that's not possible. The long-term care insurance fund pays a maximum of €42 per month.
Are incontinence products costing over €42 also covered by long-term care insurance?
No, incontinence products such as diapers or pull-ups are not included in the care box. They are billed – if at all – via a separate prescription.
Costs and cost coverage
How much does the care box cost?
The care package is free for you. Your long-term care insurance will cover the costs up to €42 per month.
Who pays the shipping costs for the care box?
Shipping is also free for you. We'll send the box to your home at no extra cost.
Is the care box completely free?
For you: Yes, if you have a care level rating and the care takes place at home. The long-term care insurance covers the costs.
Which long-term care insurance funds cover the costs of the care box?
All statutory long-term care insurance funds cover the costs of the care box – if the requirements are met.
Are privately insured individuals also entitled to free care aids?
Yes, even those with private health insurance may be entitled to care aids. You will receive an invoice from us, which you initially pay yourself. Afterwards, you submit the invoice to your private long-term care insurance provider. In our experience, most private insurers reimburse costs up to €42 per month.
Who is legally entitled to free care aids?
If you have a care level rating and are cared for at home, you are entitled to care aids worth up to €42 per month.
Application and delivery
How do I apply for the care box?
It's very simple: You fill out our application online. We take care of everything else and send the application to the long-term care insurance provider.
Do I need to sign anything to apply for or receive the care box?
Yes, you only need to sign the application online once. After that, you don't need to sign anything else – not even every month.
When will I receive my first care box?
As soon as the long-term care insurance fund has approved the application, we will send you the first box as quickly as possible – usually within a few days.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping usually takes 1 to 3 working days after the box has been packed.
What happens if the long-term care insurance fund rejects the application?
If your application is rejected, we will inform you. You will then of course not receive a care box and you will not incur any costs.
Changes & Cancellation
How long can I receive the free care box?
As long as you have a care level and are cared for at home, you can receive the care box permanently.
How can I cancel my care package?
You can cancel the care box at any time – simply by email, phone or via our website.
I already obtain my care supplies from another provider – can I switch to PflegeFlieger?
Yes, you can switch to PflegeFlieger at any time. We're happy to help you with the provider change.
